Kenner Code Enforcement Director Resigns

Tamithia Shaw, Code Enforcement Director for the City of Kenner, has resigned effective 9/20. Prior to her appointment in Code, Ms. Shaw was an Assistant City Attorney. She is leaving to accept a position as a Hearing Officer with the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court where she worked as a Prosecutor for five years.

In a statement, Mayor Mike Yenni said, “The vast experience and knowledge she brought to the City of Kenner helped improve our Code Enforcement Department in ways that will benefit the citizens of Kenner for years to come. She is looking forward to getting back to her passion of helping children and their families throughout the parish.”

City Attorney Keith Conley will be the interim Code Enforcement Director until a new Director is hired.
