Judge Orders Another CCC Vote In May

19th JDC Judge William Morvant has overturned the November vote that extended the Crescent City Connection toll for another 20 years. The vote was extended by 36 votes after a partial recount on 4,000 ballots was completed.

Toll opponents had argued that almost 1,100 voters were given “provisional ballots” even though they verified their residency. The provisional ballots did not include a voting option on the toll referendum. The toll vote was only for Jefferson, Orleans, and Plaquemines Parish voters.

The new vote will be May 4th.
